The MSc Cyber Security program is designed to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge to protect digital systems, networks, and data from evolving cyber threats. The course covers critical areas such as network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, information assurance, cyber risk management, cloud security, and digital forensics. Students learn to analyse vulnerabilities, implement security strategies, and respond to security incidents effectively in diverse organisational environments.
The curriculum blends theoretical learning with practical, hands-on experience through labs, simulations, and real-world projects. Students gain expertise in penetration testing, intrusion detection, malware analysis, secure software development, and compliance with cyber laws and regulations. The program also emphasises ethical considerations, critical thinking, and strategic decision-making in cybersecurity management.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as Cybersecurity Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Information Security Consultant, Network Security Engineer, and Cyber Risk Manager. The program also provides a strong foundation for further research or professional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM.
