The BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning is an undergraduate programme designed for students who wish to pursue a career in sports performance, fitness, and athletic development. This course provides in-depth knowledge of exercise science, biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, and advanced strength and conditioning techniques to enhance athletic performance and overall physical fitness.
Students study core areas such as human anatomy and physiology, exercise prescription, training programme design, performance testing, sports nutrition, injury prevention, and applied coaching techniques. The programme combines theoretical learning with practical workshops, laboratory sessions, and hands-on experience in fitness, sports, and high-performance environments.
Graduates are prepared for careers as strength and conditioning coaches, performance analysts, sports scientists, fitness consultants, personal trainers, and roles within professional sports teams, academies, or high-performance training centres. The programme also provides a strong foundation for further postgraduate study in sports science, coaching, or related fields.
