The MSc Sports Therapy (Conversion) at Hartpury University is a professionally focused postgraduate programme designed to convert graduates from Sport and Exercise Science and related disciplines into industry-ready Sports Therapists. The programme combines advanced clinical knowledge, practical rehabilitation skills and extensive professional placements to prepare graduates for successful careers in sports therapy, rehabilitation and sports medicine environments.
Students benefit from practical learning in modern sports therapy clinics, rehabilitation facilities and sports performance environments while developing advanced assessment, treatment and rehabilitation competencies. Throughout the programme, students work with athletes, active individuals and clinical populations under professional supervision, gaining valuable real-world experience.
The course includes a minimum of 250 hours of supervised placement experience, including opportunities within Hartpury's Sports Therapy Clinic, Sports Academy programmes and external healthcare and sports organisations. Students also receive professional development through emergency first aid certification and membership support from The Society of Sports Therapists (SST).
Upon successful completion, graduates become eligible to apply for professional membership and insurance through The Society of Sports Therapists, enabling them to practise as qualified Sports Therapists.

2:1 Honours Degree in Sport and Exercise Science or a related discipline.

Academic and/or practical experience in Sport and Exercise Sciences. Relevant personal and professional qualities. Motivation to study Sports Therapy. Applicants must successfully complete Fitness to Practise assessment. Enhanced DBS Clearance required. Minimum 250 hours supervised placement required. Minimum 80% attendance mandatory. Emergency First Aid Certification included. Eligible for SST Membership and Insurance upon graduation. Student membership of The Society of Sports Therapists provided by Hartpury University.
