MSc Cyber Security

The MSc Cyber Security program is an advanced, industry-focused degree designed to prepare students for the rapidly evolving world of digital security. As cyber threats become more sophisticated and frequent, organizations across all sectors require skilled professionals capable of securing their networks, protecting sensitive data, and responding to complex cyber incidents. This program equips students with a strong blend of theoretical understanding and practical skills essential for high-level cybersecurity roles.

Throughout the course, students explore a wide range of topics, including:

  • Network and Infrastructure Security – understanding network architectures, defending against intrusions, and implementing robust security protocols.

  • Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing – learning offensive security techniques used to identify system vulnerabilities before malicious actors exploit them.

  • Cryptography & Secure Communications – studying encryption algorithms, authentication systems, and secure information-sharing methods.

  • Digital Forensics & Incident Response – investigating cybercrimes, analyzing digital evidence, and developing strategies to respond to security breaches.

  • Risk Management & Governance – understanding global cybersecurity standards, compliance requirements, and security policy development.

  • Cloud & Web Application Security – securing cloud environments, preventing web-based attacks, and implementing secure architecture designs.

  • Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security – exploring how machine learning and automation are used to detect threats and strengthen cybersecurity systems.

CAS Deposit: GBP 7000 (IND), GBP 4000 (Others). For Arden UK, the remaining fees after the first CAS Deposit will be paid in three (3) installments - 11th, 18th and 24th week of study.

Program Requirements
  • Academic Requirement: A 2.2 Honours degree in a computing-related subject, or an equivalent 2.2 Honours degree with 18 months of relevant computing work experience.
  • English Language Requirement: IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 60-78; or equivalent
  • Special Requirement: A minimum of 3 years of relevant computing work experience. Your work experience should be in a computing or IT role.
