Support for international students

Thinking about studying in Canada? Look no further! Ontario Tech’s diverse community and dedication to providing support and resources for international students, will make you feel at home.

From arrival to your final year of study, Ontario Tech will offer you the support and resources needed for you to succeed. The International Office will support your journey to Canada by providing assistance with immigration information, travel requirements and housing accommodations. Upon your arrival, an orientation is devoted to incoming international students to assist in the transition, and provide you with the opportunity to make new friends and explore the campus before starting school.

The location

Ontario Tech University is located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Oshawa is a mid-sized city located just east of Toronto with so much to offer! As an Ontario Tech student, everything you will need is right outside your door including grocery stores, shopping centres, coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment, medical centres and hospitals, local parks, and more! And if this still isn't enough, you can always take a quick trip into Toronto for some more local activities.

There are two campus locations in Oshawa, the North campus and Downtown campus, which is home to the Social Science and Humanities programs. Getting around Oshawa, or between campuses is easy thanks to the U-PASS which provides Ontario Tech students with unlimited access to Durham Region Transit during the academic year.

Oshawa is also one of the top cities for employment and growth, so it is the perfect place to be in 4 years when you become a graduate of Ontario Tech.

Ontario Tech offers 53 undergraduate programs and 38 graduate programs in a wide-range of areas including business, computers and technology, education, engineering, medicine and health, science and social science and humanities.

All programs at Ontario Tech offer experiential learning that provide students with unique opportunities for hands-on learning. Strong partnerships with 300+ industry leaders allows for students to apply their theoretical knowledge and engage in real-world challenges. These experiential learning opportunities ensure that Ontario Tech graduates are equipped with the skills needed to succeed after graduation.
