Our dedicated teaching staff provide training in a modern setting with the latest equipment. With 5 campuses located on the South Shore of Montreal, ACCESS has been a resource for the Riverside School Board community for over 40 years, empowering individuals who are 16 and older in their ongoing quest for academic and professional success. Program objectives This program aims to train individuals for the profession of heavy vehicle mechanic. Apprenticeships take place in workshops on mechanical and electrical components and on conventional and computerized systems of heavy road vehicles. Perform preventative and corrective mechanical work. Check vehicles in order to identify operating problems, search for the cause and locate the source Carry out repairs, replacements and adjustments, as well as operating tests. To be eligible for admission to this program, candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Persons holding a Secondary School Diploma or its recognized equivalent, for example, an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary V studies, or a postsecondary diploma such as the Diploma of College Studies or a Bachelor’s degree
