Please be informed that the following important updates from CVU will take effect for all student visa applications submitted on or after August 1, 2025. We kindly request you to review these changes carefully and prepare accordingly, as ample time has been provided for compliance:
Updated Acceptance Letters
Acceptance letters will include additional information. The College will revise and issue new formats accordingly.
VFS Appointment to Course Start Date Gap
There must now be a minimum of 9–10 weeks between the VFS appointment date and the course start date (previously 8 weeks).
Please wait for the official intake start dates to be circulated before booking VFS appointments.
Passport Validity Requirement
Students' passports must be valid for at least 10 months from the date of the VFS appointment.
Accommodation Letter Changes
A revised format of the accommodation letter will be introduced and provided by the College.
This update does not apply to applicants who have already secured a VFS appointment before August 1, 2025.
Insurance Requirement
A minimum 91 days of health insurance coverage is required starting from the landing date in Malta (not the flight departure date).
Additional Required Documents
A signed declaration letter from the student is now mandatory.
A copy of the sponsor’s identification (both front and back of the ID card or passport bio page) must be submitted.
Passport Photograph
Applicants must submit 1 passport-sized photo that meets ICAO standards.
English Language Proficiency (Proposed Requirement)
CVU is planning to implement English language proficiency requirements (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, CAMBRIDGE TESTS). This is only in propsal stage, not yet effective. Although not yet mandatory, agents are strongly advised to prioritize recruiting students who hold valid English language test scores to increase visa success rates. We encourage all agents to recruit quality students and prepare all applications in line with the above changes.
