Over the course of 8 months, you’ll gain both theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience required to operate and maintain power plants safely and efficiently. The program follows the Fourth Class Interprovincial standardized curriculum, equipping you with the essential skills to challenge the Fourth Class Power Engineering examinations.

Practical Learning Experience

You’ll complete two intensive Power Lab sessions at the Saskatoon – SaskPolytech Campus:

• Power Lab 1: Fall 2026

• Power Lab 2: Spring 2027

Each lab runs for three weeks, offering immersive, practical experience in a professional environment. Please note that students are responsible for any relocation or travel costs associated with attending the on-campus labs.
