The Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN) is a four-year professional nursing degree designed to prepare students for careers as Registered Nurses in a wide variety of healthcare settings. The program combines classroom learning, simulation-based education, laboratory practice and clinical experiences to develop strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and patient-care skills.
Students gain experience in hospitals, community healthcare settings, rehabilitation centres, long-term care facilities, public health organizations and primary healthcare environments. The curriculum focuses on evidence-based nursing practice, health assessment, pharmacology, mental health, leadership, community health and interprofessional collaboration.
Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree and become eligible to pursue registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and write the NCLEX-RN licensing examination. The program also provides a strong foundation for graduate studies and advanced nursing specializations.
