The Fashion Studies certificate program at Seneca Polytechnic provides students with a strong introduction to the fashion industry through a combination of creative, technical and business-focused learning. The program is designed for students who wish to build foundational skills before entering the fashion industry or pursuing further studies in fashion-related programs.
Students explore fashion design fundamentals, illustration, textile techniques, colour theory, trend forecasting, sustainability and inclusive design practices. Through hands-on projects and creative assignments, students develop practical skills while building confidence in design thinking and visual communication.
The program also serves as an academic pathway into advanced fashion programs at Seneca Polytechnic, allowing students to continue their education in areas such as Fashion Arts, Fashion Business and Visual Merchandising.
