NorQuest College’s Pharmacy Technician program is nationally accredited and thoroughly prepares you for a fast-paced and highly respected career in the pharmaceutical industry. As a regulated pharmacy technician, you will play a key role in patient care, dispensing prescriptions, preparing compounded medications and sterile products, managing inventory, and teaching patients how to use medical devices.

Practical Experience in State-of-the-Art Facilities
Our pharmacy technician lab provides you with hands-on training in compounding, sterile product preparation, inventory management, and dispensing. You’ll gain experience using industry-standard technologies like laminar airflow hoods and Kroll® computer software to prepare you for the workforce.
Our simulation lab prepares you to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, mirroring real-world working environments.
Flexible Study Options
In-Person (2 years)
Attend full-time, in-person classes at our Edmonton campus, with hands-on lab components. This option is ideal for students who can commit to full-time studies.
Evenings and Weekends (3 years)
If you need a more flexible schedule, complete most classes 2-3 evenings per week and 1-3 weekends per term. Some courses will be offered online. Attendance at all lab components is required.
Graduate with Work Experience
At NorQuest, we believe in the importance of on-the-job learning. You’ll graduate with:

360 hours of work experience from two practicums

Your practicum will give you the chance to gain professional experience and industry exposure while you work with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

- Tuition deposits are non-refundable if you withdraw within 30 days of your program start date and non-transferable in all cases.
- 30+ days before the program starts → Full refund minus half of the tuition deposit (i.e $500 deduction)
- Within 30 days of the program start → Full refund minus full tuition deposit ($1000 deduction) and U-Pass fee (if applicable).
