Northern’s Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) program equips students with the specialized knowledge and hands-on experience needed to support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Audiologists in a wide range of clinical and virtual care settings. Program Requirements
  • Academic Requirement: The applicant must have a degree or equivalent qualification in communication disorders, linguistics, human anatomy and physiology, social sciences, or human services.
  • ELP Requirement: IELTS: At least 6.5 overall PTE: Minimum score of 61 TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 89, with a minimum of 22 in Writing and Speaking Duolingo English Test: Score of at least 130
Refund Policy

If you decide to cancel your enrollment, here’s a clear explanation of how tuition fee refunds and deferrals are handled at Georgian College.

LOA Deposit: $2,500 CAD

  • The $2,500 CAD deposit is refundable only if your visa is refused.


❌ Refunds for Visa Refusal

  • If you request a refund within 14 days of your visa refusal:

    • You will get a full refund.

  • If you request a refund after 14 days of the visa refusal:

    • $2,500 CAD will be taken from your refund.

  • It’s the agent’s responsibility to inform the college about the visa refusal within 14 days.


✅ Withdrawal Refunds

  • If you withdraw within the first 10 working days of the term, you will get a partial refund.

  • If you withdraw after 10 working days, no refund will be given.

  • Fees paid for future terms will be fully refunded.

  • If your study permit is refused, you can get a full refund if you submit the refusal letter within the first 10 working days.


⏳ Deferral Policy

  • You are allowed one deferral with a valid reason.

  • For any additional deferrals, you will need to pay a $100 CAD application fee.
