Stagecraft And Event Technology

The Stagecraft and Event Technology Diploma at Douglas College provides intensive hands-on training for careers in theatre, live events, film, television, and entertainment production. Students develop practical skills in stage lighting, audio production, set construction, drafting, CAD design, stage management, multimedia technology, special events, and production techniques. Through real-world production experiences and work placements, students learn to operate in professional entertainment environments while gaining technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills. Graduates are prepared for careers in theatre production, concert touring, live events, film and television production, cruise ship entertainment, festivals, museums, and technical production services.

  • ELP Requirement: Douglas College English Language Proficiency Requirement. Typically IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0 or equivalent.
  • Special Requirement: Full-time seats are limited. A CAD $350 non-refundable and non-transferable tuition deposit is required after admission.
