The Financial Services Diploma at Douglas College provides students with a strong foundation in financial planning, investments, banking, insurance, wealth management, and business administration. The program combines financial services courses with studies in accounting, business law, marketing, personal selling, and management to prepare graduates for careers in the financial sector.

Students gain practical knowledge aligned with industry licensing requirements and develop skills in financial analysis, investment management, client advisory services, and personal financial planning. The program also supports preparation for the FP Canada Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) examination and offers optional Co-operative Education and internship opportunities to gain valuable industry experience.

Program Requirements
  • Academic Requirement: 12th Pass (Commerce preferred but all streams may apply subject to college admission requirements)
  • ELP Requirement: IELTS 6.5 Overall (No band less than 6.0) / Equivalent accepted by Douglas College
  • Special Requirement: General College Admission Requirements. Students interested in Co-op or Internship opportunities should contact the Career Centre early in their studies.
