The Computing Studies and Information Systems Diploma at Douglas College prepares students for careers in information technology, software development, networking, database management, cybersecurity, and data science. The program combines technical computing courses with business-focused studies to provide a well-rounded understanding of modern IT environments. Students gain hands-on experience in programming, web development, mobile application development, machine learning, systems analysis, networking, and cybersecurity while benefiting from optional Co-operative Education opportunities and university transfer pathways.

Program Requirements
  • Academic Requirement: Grade 12 or equivalent. Pre-Calculus 11 (C or better) or Foundations of Math 11 (C or better) or equivalent required.
  • ELP Requirement: IELTS 6.5 Overall with no band below 6.0 (or equivalent approved English proficiency test).
  • Special Requirement: Pre-Calculus 11 or Foundations of Math 11 required. Higher-level mathematics may be required for specific courses such as MATH 1130, MATH 1160, and BUSN 2429.
