The Accounting Studies (Post-Degree Diploma) at Douglas College is a one-year program designed for graduates from non-business academic backgrounds who wish to build a foundation in accounting and finance. Students develop knowledge in financial accounting, managerial accounting, economics, statistics, business analytics and intermediate accounting. The program provides a pathway to junior and intermediate-level accounting positions and allows graduates to seamlessly transition into the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Accounting. It also partially satisfies the entrance requirements for the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Professional Education Program (PEP).
