Hacking Your Future: Decoding the Master's Code to Cybersecurity Supremacy- { New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) - New York Tech Vancouver }
Overview
Help companies around the world keep important data safe, limit risks, and recover from attacks with the Master of Science in Cybersecurity. This program is ideally suited for those with engineering or computer science undergraduate degrees. You’ll design, implement, and maintain software tools to support network security across multiple operating systems, overseeing the information lifecycle of an organization from planning and acquisition to implementation. You’ll also study algorithm concepts, computer forensics, risk management and legal issues, and intrusion detection and hacker exploits. You’ll then put classroom-learned theory into practice through hands-on projects and research—some completed side-by-side with leading faculty working on innovations in areas including biometrics, conceptual modeling, cryptography, cyber behavioral authentication, genomic computation, mobile and cybersecurity, and swarm intelligence.
Academic requirements
- Four (4) – year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Minimum GRE score of 295 (if required)
- Proof of English proficiency if you have not completed your bachelor’s degree from an accredited North American institution.
- Minimum overall score of IELTS (Academic and Online) 6.5 or 88 TOEFL (IBT and Home Edition) and 58 PTE (Academic).
- IELTS indicator tests are not accepted for admission.
Application Process
All New York Tech Vancouver applications are done online and require a non-refundable $50 USD application fee. In addition, you will also be asked to upload the following documents:
- Completed online application
- A copy of your passport (valid passport only, expired passport will not be accepted).
- Proof of English Language Proficiency (IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT/Home Edition, PTE).
- Bachelor's Degree completion certificate.
- Semester-by-semester transcripts for all four years of your bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 pages of a Resume or a Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Statement of Purpose(recommended)
- Any transcripts or certificates received beyond your bachelor’s degree program.
- A copy of GRE score (may be required for some applicants).
