Successful completion of standard 12th with 70% average 

Interview (Mandatory)

• An offer is made only after passing the interview

• Interview checks:

  • Motivation for the healthcare profession

  • Communication skills

  • Awareness of patient care, ethics, and responsibility

  • Understanding of the role (e.g. radiography, nursing, allied health)

Even strong academic profiles can be rejected if the interview is weak.

Satisfactory Reference

• Usually one reference is required:

  • Academic (school/college teacher or principal), or

  • Professional (if the student has work experience)

The reference must confirm:

• Good character

• Reliability

• Suitability to work with patients

Health Clearance (Very Important)

This is compulsory for NHS clinical placements.

What it includes:

• Medical fitness check

• Vaccination verification

Common NHS-required vaccinations:

• Hepatitis B

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

• TB screening / BCG

• Varicella (Chickenpox) (if no history)

• COVID-19 (as per current NHS policy)

Proof (certificates / reports) may be required before placement starts.

IELTS: 7.0 overall with no element below 6.5

PTE: 76 overall with no element below 76

TOEFL: Minimum of 94 overall: Reading 19, Listening 20, Speaking 20, and Writing 24

If band scores are less than the required, a foundation year will be added.
