The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) program is designed to develop knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate nurses who can provide safe and effective care to adults across a wide range of healthcare environments. This degree equips students with a deep understanding of adult health, disease management, clinical nursing skills, and the ability to deliver person-centred care.
Throughout the course, students explore essential topics such as anatomy and physiology, infection prevention, pharmacology, complex care, acute and chronic illness management, and leadership in healthcare. The program blends classroom learning with extensive practical training, ensuring students gain real-world experience in hospitals, community health centres, aged-care facilities, rehabilitation units, and primary care settings.
Clinical placements form a major part of the curriculum, allowing students to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals and apply their skills in real clinical situations. Students also develop strong communication, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities, preparing them to manage diverse patient needs—from routine care to emergency response.
Upon graduation, students are eligible to register as Adult Nurses and pursue fulfilling careers in hospitals, community nursing teams, outpatient clinics, home care services, and other healthcare sectors. The degree also provides a strong foundation for further specialisation or postgraduate study.
