Master of Nanochemistry and Entrepreneurship

Course Overview

The Master’s programme in Nanochemistry and Entrepreneurship at Vilnius University focuses on the development and application of advanced nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. The programme combines modern chemistry research with innovation and entrepreneurship skills, preparing graduates to work in both scientific and commercial environments.

Nanomaterials are becoming increasingly important in many industries such as healthcare, electronics, energy, and cosmetics. Due to their nanoscale structure, these materials often demonstrate unique optical, mechanical, and electronic properties that differ significantly from conventional materials.

During the programme, students gain advanced theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory experience in:

• Nanomaterials synthesis and characterization
• Nanotechnology applications in industry and healthcare
• Chemical and physical properties of nanomaterials
• Advanced materials science
• Innovation and technology commercialization
• Research and product development in nanotechnology

Students develop strong laboratory research skills as well as an understanding of how scientific discoveries can be transformed into innovative technologies and business solutions.
