Course Description
The Eastern European and Russian Studies Master’s programme at Vilnius University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the political, economic, and cultural developments of Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet region.
The programme focuses on analysing the transformation of societies and institutions in Eastern Europe, Russia, and neighbouring regions. Students develop advanced analytical and research skills that enable them to evaluate political processes, economic developments, and international relations within this strategically important region.
During the programme, students explore topics such as regional security, political systems, economic reforms, international diplomacy, and cultural transformations. The interdisciplinary curriculum combines political science, history, international relations, and regional studies to provide a deeper understanding of contemporary developments in Eastern Europe.
