How to Request a Refund

Log in to the MyUCW portal.

Fill out the Program Withdrawal Request form and drop your course by the Drop/Add deadline.

Get approval from the Registrar’s Office.

Complete the Refund Request form on MyUCW and upload any supporting evidence.

Email updates or questions to refunds@ucanwest.ca as soon as they arise.
What Fees Are Deducted
Before you receive any refund, UCW will subtract:

Your original application fee

The refund processing fee
-
Compulsory registration fees

Charges for any extra services you used

Wire-transfer or credit-card refund fees
How and When You’ll Get Your Money

Refunds go back through the same payment method you used.

All refunds are paid in Canadian dollars (CAD).

If you’re using a foreign bank account, the exchange rate at the time of refund applies.

Please send all required documents quickly—UCW may cancel your request if paperwork is delayed.
Visa or Study Permit Refusal
If IRCC denies your study permit or visa within one year of your latest Letter of Acceptance, you qualify for a refund. To apply:

Submit your Refund Request form on MyUCW within five business days of the refusal.

Provide one of these as proof:

The original IRCC refusal letter (paper)

An electronic copy of that letter

The original IRCC email decision, with full headers and routing information

Make sure to meet all deadlines and keep UCW informed of any changes!
