Refund Policy

Refund Policy

Lambton College offers a refund of fees paid, less a non-refundable CAD 350 processing fee, if a student is refused a Canadian study visa.
To be eligible, students must submit an official visa refusal letter (IMM 5621) issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Refund requests must be emailed to refunds@lambtoncollege.ca within 10 business days of receiving the visa refusal letter.

Refund Method

In compliance with Canadian Anti-Money Laundering regulations, all refunds are issued to the original source of payment.

Please note:

  • Refunds may be affected by exchange rate fluctuations and banking charges, which are outside the College’s control.

  • Any such charges are not the responsibility of Lambton College.

Refunds by Payment Method

  • Flywire: Refunded via the Flywire portal to the original account

  • Convera: Refunded via the Convera portal to the original account

  • Canadian Bank Payments: Refunded to the original bank account


Refund Processing Time

Eligible and approved refunds are processed within nine (9) weeks from the date Lambton College receives all required supporting documents.


Withdrawal Policy

Students who choose to withdraw before the start of the term or within the first 10 days of the term may be eligible for a partial refund, subject to an administrative fee.
The administrative fee is calculated in accordance with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) refund policy.


Withdrawal Deadlines

To remain eligible for a partial refund, withdrawal requests must be submitted on or before the applicable deadline:

  • Winter Term (January): January 16, 2026

  • Spring Term (May): May 8, 2026

  • Fall Term (September): September 14, 2026

Students enrolled in subsequent terms (Terms 2, 3, or 4) who withdraw are also subject to the same administrative fees and deadlines.
Withdrawal requests are processed only after the completion of the student’s current academic term.

Other Terms
  • All information and documents submitted must be genuine and correct.
  • Application fee is generally non-refundable.
  • Refund of tuition or deposit depends on the institution policy.
  • Visa approval depends on immigration rules and document accuracy.
